Trying to cut out the fat - literally?

Weight Loss Surgery Questions - Do I Really Need Surgery?
By Brandon R. Cornett

Are you considering surgery for weight loss purposes? If so, I want you to stop what you're doing and ask yourself the following question regarding bariatric weight-loss surgery:

Do I really need surgery in order to lose weight? Is it truly the only option for me?

This should be the first question you answer before pursuing any other aspect of weight loss surgery, such as finding a surgeon or lining up your finances. After all, this is surgery we are talking about here. So before you can decide if weight loss surgery is right for you, it's important to exhaust your non-surgical options for weight loss.

This is especially important if you undergo a weight loss procedure as severe as the gastric bypass. Unlike newer forms of weight loss surgery (such as gastric banding), the gastric bypass permanently alters your digestive system. That's right ... the surgeon will physically alter your stomach as well as your intestines as part of it. That's a serious form of surgery, and it comes with significant risks and potential complications. So it's important to exhaust your non-surgical options for weight loss before resorting to surgery.

"Resorting" is the opportune word here. You should only choose weight loss surgery as a last resort, and only in cases of severe obesity.

Surgery for Weight Loss and the "Quick Fix" Nation

Sometimes I look at the before-and-after photos on the websites of weight loss surgeons, and I am shocked by the types of patients who undergo this type of surgery. Many of them are merely overweight, but very few are morbidly obesity. Weight loss surgery should be reserved for patients who are morbidly obese, not for people who are merely overweight. Many of the "before" pictures show people who could have reached their target weight through regular exercise and healthy eating. But they opt for a risky surgery instead? This baffles me.

It also seems to me that many weight loss surgeons have loosened and expanded their definitions of what makes a "qualified" patient for bariatric surgery. There was a time when such surgeries were reserved for the morbidly obese -- a clinical term describing people who will literally die from their obesity, if left unchecked. But lately, it seems a lot of surgeons will operate on anyone who can afford the surgery and sign the medical waivers. This is a disturbing trend, to say the least. But I guess it's just a sign of the times and the "quick fix" mentality many people have these days.

Exhaust Your Natural Options Before Using Bariatric Surgery

Some people will make a half-hearted attempt to lose weight through proper nutrition and exercise, and then give up in frustration. Don't make this same mistake. Before turning to surgery for weight loss, you should make a serious effort to lose weight naturally (through better nutrition and exercise). It takes time and effort, but it should always be your first attempt. By addressing your nutrition and lack of exercise, you are correcting the actual source of the weight problem ... not just the symptom.

Why you're Not Losing Weight!

You are overweight for the most simple of reasons -- because you're eating the wrong foods, the wrong types of calories per meal, and you're also eating meals in the wrong patterns each day.

Think closely about what we're about to tell you, since it's going to change the way you think about dieting...

FOOD is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills, because the FOOD that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT. You don't get fat because of a lack of exercising, that's a myth. You get fat because you don't eat the right foods at the right intervals each day.

Also, the pattern that you choose to eat your meals each day is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills. This is true because your body is like an "engine" and it only needs certain foods at certain intervals each day, and if you don't eat the right foods at the right times then it won't burn those calories -- and you'll wind up storing those calories as fat tissue. (Hint: You need to eat more than 3 times per day to lose weight, but we'll show you the details later).

You have gotten overweight by eating the wrong foods, that much is a fact. And guess what? You can get SLIM by eating the RIGHT FOODS at the RIGHT INTERVALS each day.

It's not really any more complicated than that, and the way to start losing weight has nothing to do with starving yourself or jogging.

The reason you cannot lose weight by starving yourself (using a low calorie diet) is because your metabolism will detect any major drop in calories and it will then ADJUST ITSELF by burning fewer calories each day.

For example:
If you begin eating 2,500 calories per day then your metabolism will adjust itself so that your body begins burning 2,500 calories per day.

If you try to starve yourself by suddenly eating 1,000 calories per day then your metabolism will again ADJUST ITSELF so that your body begins to burn only 1,000 calories per day. That's why you have failed in your past dieting attempts, that's why you always seem to fail when you try and starve yourself.

Now you know the reason why you can eat 1,000 calories per day and not lose any weight while your friends can eat 2,500 calories per day and not gain any weight.

Also, virtually every person in today's society is buying mostly "low fat" or "non fat" food at the grocery store, everybody is conscious of the "fat grams" inside the food they buy. However, people are getting fatter than ever by doing this and people are not losing weight by switching to the "low fat lifestyle".

Those ridiculous "low carb" diets have certainly become popular in recent years, but of course those are just thinly disguised starvation diets. If you don't think so then check out these facts below about Atkins....

The Atkins Diet limits your carb intake to ONLY 20 grams of "net carbs" per day during the first phase of the diet......which means that you cannot even eat a single large apple during the first phase of the Atkins Diet (since even a large apple has more than 20 grams of net carbs).

...And if you want to continue through all of the phases of the Atkins Diet, then it will take another 4 MONTHS (16 weeks) before you'll be allowed to eat just 400 carb calories per day -- and any typical restaurant meal has more carbs than that. So this is really just another form of starving yourself (and making yourself MISERABLE), which is not the answer.

NOW you know what doesn't work. To find out what does just go to...

Control Dieting Weight - Stop The Cravings

Control Dieting Weight - Stop The Cravings
By Eric Head

Losing weight is actually a very simple process, but we make it difficult, because our emotions or cravings get involved. Our cravings for eating delicious foods are our worst enemy when it comes to losing weight. So to lose weight effectively, it is crucial that these cravings become decreased or eliminated all together.

The million dollar question is: “How do we reduce or eliminate our cravings?”

The answer is actually simpler than you might expect. It can be summed up in three words:

“Plan your day”

When you plan your day, or create a schedule of what you are going to eat, you are essentially creating organization to your diet regimen that will allow you to combat any possible cravings that may arise later in the day.

One of the main reasons that people fall victim to cravings is that they don’t write out ahead of time what and when they are going to eat.

When you try to work out what to eat in you head, you are bound to forget to eat at a certain point in the day and this will later result in feelings of hunger. That hunger will then turn into cravings and you will find yourself deviating from your diet and eating inappropriate foods that go against your food intake goal for the day.

So to remedy this, it is very important to work out what you are going to eat on paper. Write it out so you can see it visually. Define what you are going to eat and schedule it to regular intervals throughout the day. By doing this, you can plan ahead so that your body continually remains full and as a result you will no longer suffer cravings.

Control Dieting Weight - Still Eat Your Favorite Foods

Control Dieting Weight - Still Eat Your Favorite Foods
By Eric Head

Sometimes when we are trying to lose weight, we tend to make the whole process out to be worse than it really needs to be. A lot of this has to do with the negative stereotypes that people have placed on the concept of a diet.

For example, you will often hear people describe dieting as “a struggle” or that it is “tough”. Even the famous cartoon fat cat, Garfield, describes DIET is “Die” with a “T”.

The truth is that losing weight doesn’t have to be a difficult process. What it really all boils down to is organization and creating a schedule of eating the same thing everyday. The keyword here is “planning” and the best part is that when you apply a schedule and plan to eat the same thing everyday, you can eat your favorite foods and still lose weight.

Our weight often fluctuates, increasing and decreasing, because we eat so many different foods at different times of the day. This unorganized way of eating can cause an imbalance and as a result, we fall into this trap of yo-yo dieting.

So by following the procedure below, you can easily see that through just some simple planning, you can lose weight and still eat your favorite foods.

To begin, follow these initial steps.

1. Get out a piece of paper and a pen.
2. Write down all the foods that you love to eat and title this your “Favorite Foods List”.
3. Then write down next to those foods how many calories each of those foods contains.
4. Assign those foods to the three meals of the day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
5. Make sure that the calories of you schedule is lower than your daily calorie maintenance level.

Let’s look at an example of my “Favorite Foods List” and their calories.

Snickers Bar = 350
Dr. Pepper = 150
Large Burrito w/sour cream = 700
Fruit Loops Cereal w/milk = 400
Cheeseburger = 500

Now, let’s look at how I have assigned those foods to my three meals of the day.

Breakfast
Fruit Loops Cereal w/milk = 400

Lunch
Cheeseburger = 500
Dr. Pepper = 150

Dinner
Large Burrito w/sour cream = 700
Dr. Pepper = 150

Snack
Snickers Bar = 350

As you can see from my schedule, if you total all the calories, this comes out to 2,250 calories for the total amount of calories that I will have consumed during the entire day.

I have already predetermined that my daily allowance of calories to stay at the same weight is 2500 calories. This is called my “daily calorie maintenance level” and it means that if regardless of what foods I eat, if I consume 2500 calories, I will neither gain, nor lose weight. I will stay at the same exact weight.

So you can see that when applying my eating schedule from above in comparison to my daily calorie maintenance level, I am consuming 250 calories less. The result of this is that I will, in effect, lose weight over an extended period of time.

If my daily calorie maintenance level is 1800 calories, then I could easily remove the Snickers Bar as my snack and replace the Dr. Pepper with Diet Dr. Pepper. This would then reduce my daily calorie intake to 1600 calories each day and I would be 200 calories under my daily maintenance calorie level allowing me to still lose weight.

Now you can see that losing weight doesn’t have to be so difficult. It’s really all about assigning a schedule to your day based on the calories of your favorite foods. By simply adjusting the portion size of your favorite foods, assigning them to the three meals of the day, and then following that schedule everyday, you are well on your way to losing the extra weight.

Control Dieting Weight - Eating Less Than Your Daily Allowance

Control Dieting Weight - Eating Less Than Your Daily Allowance
By Eric Head

The concept behind weight loss is so incredibly simple, yet it remains such a major obstacle for many of us who are trying to shed the extra pounds. We all know the simple mathematics behind it.

Find out what your daily calorie allowance is, eat less than this, and then the weight will come off!

This is all very fine, but the problem is that the mind gets in the way. As humans, we have a hunger drive, which results in cravings. These cravings make the above simple rule go from a simple mathematical formula to a major hurdle.

There is good news however. As humans, we are also intelligent, which means that we can take the necessary steps to create a plan of action in order to combat our cravings.

To eliminate our cravings, it is crucial that we make sure that our body is properly filled throughout the day. This means that we will need to use our "intelligent mind" to create a schedule with time intervals during the day in which we must eat.

All that is required is a piece of paper and a pencil. By simply writing down at what times we are going to eat during the day and then sticking to eating at those times, we end up calming the hunger drive which causes cravings. The only catch is that we must make sure that we evenly spread our daily allowance of calories over those scheduled eating times throughout the day.

Once we have our schedule in place, we can then eat at the scheduled times, regardless of whether we are hungry or not. This is important, because if we wait until we get hungry, then there is a greater chance of overeating.

Control Dieting Weight - Creating a Weight Loss Plan

Control Dieting Weight - Creating a Weight Loss Plan
By Eric Head

Losing a lot of weight can be a daunting task, especially when it feels like the end goal is so far away. Whether your goal is to lose 10, 20, 50, 100 or more pounds, the journey towards this goal can sometimes seem overwhelming. This is why a weight loss plan or schedule is so important to include in the process.

One way to make a large weight loss goal possible is to break the goal down into smaller manageable steps. If your long term goal is to lose 100 pounds, you should consider setting ten small term goals of losing 10 pounds. A goal of losing 10 pounds is much more realistic to the mind than trying to tackle a goal of losing 100 pounds up front. In addition, you gain confidence in the belief that you can achieve the goal when it is broken down into a smaller goal.

When setting your weight loss goals, a weight loss schedule or plan is important. When you have a visual plan that shows you how to break up your smaller goals into manageable steps, as well as illustrate your long term end goal, then you create a visual picture of what is in store for you on your path to losing weight.

One popular method for creating a weight loss schedule is to use an excel spreadsheet. You do this by creating a line graph showing your weight loss progress. On the left side of the spreadsheet is your "Weight" and on the bottom of the spreadsheet are the "Days" of the month. Each day, you can monitor and track your progress creating downward slope in the line graph as you lose weight.

Many self help gurus have pointed out that setting goals is crucial to success in anything you undertake. This same principle applies to weight loss too. So before you start your diet, get out some paper or use computer software and create a visual plan that you can see and follow. Your rate of success will increase as a result.

3 Foods That Will Boost Your Metabolism

3 Foods That Will Boost Your Metabolism
By John Barban

A commonly held belief about food is that you need to eat frequent meals to keep your metabolism going and to keep burning calories. I’m not exactly sure where this idea came from but it makes absolutely no sense to me.

In fact, to me it sounds like this nonsense about eating food to keep your metabolism going is a clever myth that only supports the food and nutritional supplement industry. The latest fad in nutrition is eating 6 small meals per day instead of 3. That is 3 more meals the food industry can sell you products for! It won’t be long until you will be told to eat 9 small meals per day.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve read the research and there is a small increase in metabolism that happens whenever you eat. However, the little effect food does have on your metabolism cannot overcome the weight gain you would experience from eating too many calories overall.

If you apply this idea to the calories you are eating, then eating a 100 calories might make you burn an extra 15 calories, but you still have an another 85 extra calories that you haven’t burned off.

So does this mean eating at an all you can eat buffet is the best way to ‘rev up’ your metabolism and burn lots of calories? Not likely! That just sounds ridiculous.

Let’s look at this in a real life scenario to see how far off this logic is.

By this logic eating 1 cheeseburger per day will get me average abs, 2 cheeseburgers per day will obviously rev up my metabolism, I’ll burn even more calories and get even better abs, and finally 3 cheeseburgers per day will get me a full blown six pack because now I am eating enough to really turn my metabolism up and burn off lots of fat! This makes no sense at all. I don’t care what kind of food you substitute in for my example cheeseburger, this just doesn’t make any sense.

The other side of this ridiculous idea about food and metabolism is the ‘starvation mode’ your body apparently goes into when you don’t eat enough food. As the story goes if you don’t eat enough food your metabolism will slow down and then this some how makes you store more fat every time you eat! So eating less food also makes you fat? This is also absurd.

When you really examine it, this whole theory basically says that “The more I eat the more fat I will burn, and the less I eat the fatter I will be”. Is it just me or does this sound completely backwards?

It seems we are being told that you need to constantly eat to keep your metabolism going…but if you eat too much you obviously gain weight and fat. But if you don’t eat enough you also gain fat? What the heck is going here?...Am I missing something? This is just stupid!

I’m sure you are now just as confused as you ever were. It sure confused me for a while. Doesn’t this seem impossible, too much food AND too little food both cause you to gain weight?

As for the three 3 foods that boost your metabolism…ok here goes…you ready…protein, carbs and fats! Your metabolism will go up SLIGHTLY no matter what you eat.

Let me repeat that…any and all food you eat will have some minor effect on your metabolism…but this effect is very small and will not stop you from gaining weight if you eat too much.

If you want to weight less then you must Eat less. That’s it!

I’ll give you an example you can relate to. Picture someone you know who has had some sort of surgery, or maybe had their jaw wired shut, or got sick or even upset for a while and lost their appetite, or had their wisdom teeth pulled, and they couldn’t eat or only drink fluids for a week. I’ll bet you any money they lost weight! Why? Because they ate less food, plain and simple, no special meal timing, no special food or supplement, and no magical number of calories that kept their ‘metabolism going’. This also proves there is no such thing as this ‘starvation mode’ nonsense. They burned just as many calories on those days when they didn’t eat or could only drink fluids as the days when they could finally eat again. This is obvious, otherwise how would they have lost all that weight? They just ate less, and lost weight! This also proves it doesn’t matter how you do it. You can take whole days off of eating and lose weight just fine.

The bottom line to lose weight effectively is to find a way to eat less food. There is no way to ‘boost’ your metabolism enough for real weight loss with food, meal timing or supplements.

Buying a Weight Loss Drug

If you're thinking of buying a weight loss drug, you can either get them over the counter or with a doctor’s prescription. Before you buy anything, however, you have to know what a certain type of weight loss drug can do for you. Here are some tips to help you out.

Types

Each weight loss drug works in a different way, and no two drugs are exactly alike. However, they may be classified under the following categories:

 Absorption Blockers: Drugs of this type function by preventing the body from absorbing fats and then expelling the undigested fat through the digestive system. However, it might also block vitamins and minerals along with the fat.

 Fat burners: These drugs work by speeding up your metabolism, so you burn fat and calories almost as soon as they enter your system. Side effects usually include palpitations, high blood pressure, and heart rate increase. Common examples are green tea, guarana, and caffeine. Beware of fat burners containing ephedra, though. This chemical has been known to cause vomiting, seizures, and fatal complications.

 Appetite Suppressants: Are your cravings just too much to ignore? Then an appetite suppressant might just be what you need. These drugs control the chemicals in your brain that tell you when you’re hungry and when you’re full. Many appetite suppressants also contain green tea and guarana.

Pricing

Weight loss drugs don't come cheap, so you have to be very sure that you get your money's worth. Some generic weight loss drugs may claim to be just as effective as their expensive cousins, but they might also contain ingredients that reduce their effectiveness or even make them harmful. Also, be wary of fake weight loss drugs. These are most likely ineffective, loaded with preservatives and extenders, or even contain illegal substances. To protect yourself, make sure that you buy only from licensed distributors and retailers. Not only are you ensuring that you are safe from any harmful substances, but you can also be sure that you’ll see results.

Weight Loss Drug Myths

No matter what a weight loss drug may claim, it is never safe to lose too much weight in so little time. Most people who lose weight fast gain back more than they lost as soon as they’re off the drug or program. This isn't to say that weight loss drugs won't do you any good. It’s just that weight loss drugs work best when used in conjunction with a proper diet and a regular exercise regimen. Where normal exercise and a healthy diet might not be working as well as they should, you can always use a little help from a weight loss drug. Just remember that as effective as it claims to be, it is not a cure-all. Losing weight might be the first step, but the real key to being healthy lies in a change in attitude. Your goal should not be just to lose weight because you have to—you should try to adapt a healthier lifestyle and make healthier choices.

Talk to Your Doctor

As with any fitness regimen, it helps to talk to your doctor before taking any weight loss drug. Thisa is even more important if you suffer from any serious health condition or are taking any prescription drugs. By consulting your doctor, you can get expert advice on which weight loss drug is safe for you. This way, you can be sure that the weight loss drug you take is authentic and comes recommended by medical authorities. Some weight loss drugs don't work not because they aren't effective, but because they aren't suited for the person. What works for one will not necessarily work for another, or not exactly in the same way. When you consult your doctor, you are effectively eliminating any possible hindrances on your road to achieving your fitness goals.

Assess Yourself

Before choosing a weight loss drug to use, even before consulting with your doctor, you need to sit down and assess yourself. Ask yourself what you want to achieve. Ask yourself what you are willing to do to achieve your goals. Only when you are clear about what you want to attain will you be able to effectively move towards it.

10 Healthy Weight Loss Tips

It's wonderful to want to lose weight and be healthy. However, with the different types of diets that are popular today, our health can be compromised. The best solution for losing weight and keeping it off is to eat healthy and smart. Here are 10 tips to help you lose weight and keep it off.

1. NEVER try any kind of starvation diet. Our bodies need different types and amounts of vitamins and nutrients just to keep going. Starving yourself to lose a little weight can deprive your body of essential nutrients and vitamins. This can damage our bodies severely, including damage to the liver, kidneys, heart, and even the brain.

2. Try not to deprive yourself. While it is not healthy to eat 'junk food' all the time, it may not be healthy to deprive yourself of sweet things that comfort you. The reasoning behind this is that you will stay away from these types of foods for a while, but one slip up, and you will automatically want to have more. This can lead to over-eating these types of foods, and that will definitely not help our diets. Instead, try snacking on sweet things like raisins, dried fruits, fresh fruits, or nuts.

3. Whether we like it or not, we must have exercise. No diet will successfully help you become healthy if you don't exercise. If you truly dislike exercising, and many people do, try something fun like jumping rope. This is a great cardio exercise and burns a lot of calories. It's also a lot easier on the knees and joints than jogging or sprinting.

4. Avoid the 'bad' fats. Saturated fats and Trans fats are considered the bad fats. Fats that are actually good for us are Monounsaturated fats and Polyunsaturated fats. These are absolutely necessary to the body and health. You can tell the difference because at room temperature, the 'bad fats' are solid, like lard and animal fats. The 'good fats' are liquid, like coconut oil or peanut oil.

5. Get the right amount of insoluble fiber. We actually can't digest this type of fiber, however it provides great benefits for our bodies. It slows down the body's digestion, and the process in which our bodies turn carbohydrates into glucose. This helps us feel fuller longer, which will keep us from over-eating.

6. Keep a food journal. This may sound kind of strange, but a lot of times we just don't realize how much we eat. Writing down what you've eaten will help with this. Going back to look over your journal, you will see what you are doing that may be inhibiting your progress. You will notice 'bad habit' patterns that you need to overcome, such as eating late in the evening, or snacking while you watch TV.

7. Count your calories. An average adult needs 1500 to 2000 calories a day to maintain a healthy weight. If we're not keeping track, we can easily go over this amount, as much as two to three times over! Counting and keeping track of calories will allow us to lose weight and keep it off. Pay special attention to the calories in the things you're drinking. Usually, by the time we have had our daily drinks, we leave ourselves very little actual 'eating' calories.

8. A lot of times when we're trying to lose weight, we find that we are hungry all the time. Veggies can help with this. The recommended serving of fruits and vegetables is 5 to 13 servings a day. 2 to 4 of those servings should be from fruit, and the veggies are free. You can eat as many as you want. This will ensure that we are full and satisfied, not to mention the amazing benefits of fruits and vegetables.

9. Try smaller meals several times a day instead of 2 or 3 large meals. This will help you lose weight by speeding up your metabolism. By eating more often, you won't be as hungry or as likely to snack before bedtime.

10. Get a support system. Especially if you are in a household where you are the only one who is dieting. It makes it easier when we can talk with people who are going through the same thing. Having support from people will help you stick with your plan easier, and motivate you to get active and healthy.

Trying to lose weight can be difficult. Following these tips is a good way to lose weight and keep the weight off. It's important to get the right foods, and to stay healthy and happy.

Unhealthy Dieting Fads Can Be Dangerous!

"No thanks, I'm on a diet…"

We often hear these words, but how often do we think of the gloomy faces and gestures that accompany them? We've come to expect that the dieter has set out on some unpleasant journey. The words are almost groaned and there are sighs which suggest the dieter is in mourning. That's all because of the perception we have about diets. They are unpleasant, nasty, painful things, aren't they?

Or so we're led to believe by all the media hype surrounding the unhealthy dieting fads that are so common these days. Detox, cabbage soup, melon only, Atkins… The list goes on and on. These are what some people call 'desperation diets'. They're certainly not appealing, you're not going to enjoy them, but they're going to 'do you good'.

Or are they?

Fantastic weight loss may soon be apparent and you'll feel greatly encouraged. But… statistics show that most people give up sooner rather than later, and even go back to their old ways with a vengeance! And no wonder! How long can you spirits if not your body survive on cabbage and melons?

Instant Gratification

Part of the problem is… We want it all, we want it now. We've become so used to instant results and instant gratification. Hardly surprising, then, that we apply the same principles to our dieting. We're disgusted by our flab? Our health restrictions are getting us down? Right! Let's shift them. Now! Deep down we know there could be health risks, but the ads are so appealing, they promise so much – and we're even prepared to pay for the instant, but unhealthy, dieting plans we secretly know won't work.

Some people are so determined to lose weight instantly that they have stomach bypass operations. They overlook the fact that these measures are intended for the morbidly obese, but they'll ignore their doctor and pay for private treatment anyway.

Are There Alternatives to Unhealthy Dieting?

At risk of sounding old-fashioned and stating what readers don't want to hear, there are some facts that can't be overlooked: in order to lose weight and have a healthy, trim body in the long-term, you need to moderate your diet by eating healthy foods and perhaps eating less; you also need to take some exercise.

Think about it. This is really great news! You won't need to avoid your favorite foods. You won't need to go hungry. You can eat what you like in moderation, and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that your health and weight are going to be right.

Bear in mind that the real purpose of dieting is to achieve your ideal weight and keep it.

So wave goodbye to all those unhealthy dieting plans and the physical and emotional pain that accompany them. Say hello and welcome to a new shape, better health, higher self-esteem, improved moods and emotional well being. Yes, you can enjoy that cookie or piece of chocolate, so long as you know you're sticking to your plan and taking moderate exercise. Unhealthy dieting plans! Who needs them?

Obesity And Weight Loss Surgery By Indicure

Obesity has reached epidemic proportions globally, with more than 1.7 billion people falling in the overweight/obese category (as per WHO). Weight loss can range from being relatively simple to being almost unattainable, depending on several factors such as type and severity of obesity, the age and lifestyle of the individual and the psychological mindset.

It is often seen that in the few spurts of knowledge dispersed on weight loss, people across resort to dieting, exercising and a host of other methods, though not always intelligently. Some in spite of balancing these are unable to shed and/or maintain their weight. These treatment options may prove to be beneficial for overweight people, however, in case of morbid obesity, which is estimated to afflict 20% of the obese population, there exists a 98% recidivism rate with such weight loss methods.

Obesity is excess of body fat that frequently results in significant impairment of health. Obesity results when the size or number of fat cells in a person's body increases. A normal-sized person has between 30 and 35 billion fat cells. When a person gains weight, these fat cells first increase in size and later in number.

Weight loss surgery is also known as Bariatric surgery. Surgery on the stomach and/or intestines to help a person with extreme obesity lose weight is called Bariatric Surgery. Bariatric surgery is an option for people who have a body mass index (BMI) above 40. Surgery is also an option for people with a BMI between 35 and 40 who have health problems like type 2 diabetes or heart disease.

There are two main types of bariatric surgery:

1 Adjustable Gastric Banding

2 Gastric Bypass.

DEFEAT CHILDHOOD OBESITY

DEFEAT CHILDHOOD OBESITY

In the last few years childhood obesity has shown to be an issue of critical and increasing importance. A little boy is considered obese if he exceeds his ideal weight by 25%; the threshold is set at 30% for little girls. A child's ideal weight can be easily calculated on the base of BMI (body massive index). If you want to check your child's weight you can visit the website: "http://www.cdc.org" and write "bmi" in the search engine.

Childhood obesity is frequently a consequence of an unbalanced nutrition, more and more based on fat and caloric food, lacking in proteins and nutritive value. Children often eat casually and prefer snacks and soft drinks. Parents tend to buy ready-to-eat products rather than cook themselves with natural ingredients. Purchase decisions in our consumer society are influenced by marketing and misleading advertising, which affect nutrition and deploy its biggest effects on youth.

We lead an inactive life, too. We ride our children at school by car and drive to the workplace, regardless the health effects of a long walk. Our kids like to spend most of their time watching TV, playing videogames and eating junk-food, rather than go out and play.

We all know that genetic factors "weight heavily" too: the risk of becoming obese is 40% higher among children who have one obese parent. For this reason it is extremely important to educate children to eat correctly since the first years of life. Parents bear the responsibility of orienting the eating habits in the family and making their children develop a personal relationship with food, eventually keeping them on a slimming diet.

In this society of the "bite and flee" is essential getting together for lunch of dinner time. So the primary target of the parents is to transmitting to the own children the right way to follow a healthy diet.

The first step to defeat the obesity is to change slowly and gradually our life-style and explaining the benefits we obtains by loosing weight. For example: getting more energy, social respect, major safety and self-esteem. The parents must also know that the obesity brings:

PREMATURE CONSEQUENCES as:

RESPIRATORY: apnea, sleeplessness and difficulties paying attention to homeworks or studies. TIREDNESS: articular disturbs. Leggs crossed as a bow or X. Flat feet reduced mobility, articular pain.

DIGESTING APPARATUS DISTURBS: calculus stones in gallbladder
PSYCHOLOGICAL DISEASE. Children usually make fun of fat friends and discriminate them, because they are awkward and tend not to take part in sports. Consequently, obese children feel often ashamed, lose confidence and self-esteem and prefer to spend most of their time at home, watching TV, eating chips and taking soft drinks.

EARLY PUBERTY: the obesity can cause early puberty in girls as:

1) Downy.
2) Heavy sweating.
3)Breast growth.

In such cases the specialist (endoctrinologist) will suggest lab. exams like:

1) Pelvic Ecography.
2) Left wrist X ray.
3) Blood exam. Hormonal dosage for glycemia to diabetes control.
4) Measuring the height and the weight for early growing.

LATE CONSEQUENCES: a child who has been obese in the infancy has more chance becoming obese in the adult-age and be exposed to the nature's disturbs:

CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE: high blood pressure.
MUSCOLAR SKELETAR: premature arthrosis.
METABOLISM TROUBLES: diabets, hypercolesterol.
FOOD TROUBLES: gastroenteric cancer.

All these consequences must spur parents to improve and make children's lifestyle more healthy. If necessary, a specialist could provide psychological support and help kids to start this slow and difficult way.

A winning move to achieve the best results in the struggle against childhood obesity is to integrate psychological training with recreational and cultural activities, such as acting in theatre, cinema or courses which stimulate kids to experience their manual skills, like painting on ceramics, clay modelling, carving in wood.

Every children have a passion or inner interest and this can be a great opportunity to help them to express their personality. Never forget to support and trust them during their difficult change of eating habits. Children have a surprising interior strength: if their skills are correctly addressed, they are able to make a healthy and happy future come true.

This is the point of view of a mother who loves her children immensely. In this technologically advanced society everything evolves swiftly and we can't take our time to meditate about what is really important in our life. I am firmly convinced that we have the duty to teach healthy principles to our children and improve the world, by rediscovering our origins and taking care of nature. Why don't we start by nutrition, teaching our children to eat natural and genuine food?

Take action for healthy nutrition! Feel free to visit my blog: http://defeat-childhood-obesity.blogspot.com

Weight Loss by God's Natural Design

If you want to lose weight and gain better health, the following list will lead you in changes you can make that will help both. We must consider the natural design of the body and what makes it function the very best instead of doing what is harmful when trying to lose weight. If we lose weight and our health, we have lost everything. This method will also be most likely to keep weight off. We are choosing a lifestyle, not going on a diet.

1. The goal for losing weight should always be optimal health which will in turn give optimal weight. So focus on improving your health each step of the way. However, if we get too legalistic and stringent, we will always fail, so the first tip is to adopt the 5% Rule. Eat 95% premium healthy food and 5% anything you want - yes, anything!

2. Drink half your weight, in ounces, of pure water - but not with meals. Thirst is often mistaken for hunger, so the next time you want to eat, instead drink a big glass of water. This also helps with proper digestion, elimination and cell communication. Do not drink with meals because this dilutes the stomach acids and enzymes which assist in proper digestion.

3. Maintain a high percentage of raw plant food which provides the enzymes to support proper functioning of the adrenal glands and, in turn, keeps the metabolism high, providing abundant energy and burning more calories.

4. Appetite is controlled by fiber, nutrient density and caloric density. Choosing food which is high in fiber and has the highest nutrient per calorie ratio will help to control the appetite best. The top three food categories for this are green vegetables (both leafy and solid), fresh fruit and legumes. These foods not only support healthy weight, but also protect against life-threatening disease.

5. Exercise a minimum of 20-30 minutes daily or about three hours per week. Exercise increases the metabolism which burns more calories, makes digestion more efficient, helps maintain lean body mass and revs up energy production in the cells.

6. Maintaining a diet high in unrefined plant food, which is high in fiber, allows unused calories to be expelled instead of stored as fat. According to a 1970 study by Dr. Dennis Burkett, an unrefined high fiber plant-based diet produced 60% of ingested calories in excreted feces while only 20% of ingested calories were in the feces of the group eating refined, processed and non plant food. The low fiber/refined food was mostly stored as fat.

7. The Chinese diet has almost 300 more calories per day than the U.S. diet, yet they are much less obese because their diet is approximately 99% plant food. The type of calorie does matter.

8. The type of fat we consume also matters for health and weight loss. Switch from bad fats to good fats. Bad fats are animal fat, hydrogenated fat and heated fat. Good fats are raw, unheated, non hydrogenated plant fat as found in raw nuts and seeds, avocados, coconut and extra virgin olive oil and other unheated plant oils (oils should be used in small amounts because of concentration). Good fat will reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer and diabetes, but cannot be overused or you will be ‘wearing’ good fat on your body.

9. New technology has now produced plant sterol supplements, phytosterols, which are nutrients from plants which nourish the endocrine (glandular) system - the 'go' systems of the body. A well-functioning endocrine system helps support the body's efficient burning of fat among many other benefits such as supporting the natural production and balance of hormones.

10. Eat only whole grains, preferably intact (not milled or flaked). Refined grains (also known as durum semolina flour, wheat flour, unbleached white flour, enriched wheat, unbleached wheat flour) clog the intestines causing excess weight and turning food which is not properly digested, due to the now improperly functioning intestines, into fat.

11. When the cells are given the nutrients they need to be satisfied, they do not constantly scream for more food. The eight essential glyconutrients which cause proper cell to cell communication, gives the nutritional support needed to satisfy the most important need of the cells. When the cells communicate properly, everything else functions more efficiently and excess weight is eliminated more easily.

12. High protein, low carbohydrate diets cause the body to lose lean tissue (muscle which burns fat), water and minerals. Once the dieter is off the diet, the body will avidly devour and retain these needed materials, and the weight will zoom back on, quite often higher than the starting point. The longer a person is on the high protein diet, the more damage is done to the heart, arteries, kidneys, adrenal glands, liver, pH balance and vitamin/mineral balance. Carbohydrates are the intended source of energy for the body, however, the problem with carbohydrates is in choosing processed, manmade, fat laden or unbalanced menus (such as potatoes and corn several times a week).

13. Minimize sugars and cooked foods in the diet, which tend to cause an imbalance of the B-vitamins which will set off strong cravings for the wrong foods. Sugar substitutes also cause cravings along with many other health problems. Raw honey is the best source of sweetener.

14. To help insure your food is assimilated instead of turned into fat, chew your food until it is liquid, in a relaxed environment. Do not overeat and do not eat again until the stomach is empty. Also, for best digestion, do not eat fruit with other food.

15. Take plenty of pure water and raw food with you when leaving the house for a while so impulse eating will be minimized.

16. Consider fasting one day a month to cleanse, reset the appetite and gain self discipline. This is more powerful than you can imagine and becomes easier the longer you do it.

17. Instead of using food for comfort, consider going to the Living Well, Jesus, The Greatest Comforter!

18. It takes time to seat new habits. Do not give up. Only you are responsible for change in your life. You can do it!

Exercise and Fat Loss - Amazing Ways to Proven Fat Loss

Exercise and fat loss may take a lot of effort and oftentimes, the rewards aren’t always that evident immediately. But no matter how long or how tough it is to lose that stubborn fat, bear in mind that these small steps could equal any giant leap when taken together. Follow these simple steps for proper exercise and fat loss; you will not only lose fat effectively, but keep it off as well.

Exercise Any Chance You Get

Keep moving. Make yourself busy with errands. Walk or ride a bike instead of driving to the store. If you do take the car, park as far away from the entrance as possible and walk the rest of the way there. Do the same at work. Shun the elevator and make a beeline for the stairs. Take a walk around your office building for fifteen minutes during lunch. At home, perform household chores — from the dishes to the laundry. Not only are you getting a nifty workout, you’re getting things done, too. Remember, as long as you’re on the move, you’re burning calories.

Muscle burns fat and calories all day long, even when you stay put and do absolutely nothing. Therefore, build more muscle! Do weights or strength training as this boosts metabolism, so that you’re still losing the fat long after you’ve cooled down. You may notice at first that your body seems to be doing anything but lose weight, but that only means you’re gaining muscle tissue, which will then help you lose fat and drop the pounds eventually.

When doing aerobic or cardiovascular exercises, the best time for this would be first thing in the morning, when your body does not have any carbohydrates to burn. To get the energy needed for your workout, your body will burn fat instead. Make sure you drink lots of water beforehand, though, to prevent dehydration.

One great motivation for having a proper exercise and fat loss program, as well as building muscle tissue, is the food you get to eat. If you’ve got plenty of muscles, then you can afford to eat a little more; and you don’t have to worry about your body hoarding all the calories as the muscle will just burn them right up anyway. That’s not to say, however, that you’re free to gorge on all the chips and sweets you can eat to your heart’s desire (and demise). Neither should you deprive yourself of the occasional treat. Moderation is key. Remember, proper diet and nutrition go hand in hand with exercise.

Lose the Lard by Eating Right

Eat frequently but not heavily. Eating five or six small meals throughout the day is ideal than eating three bigger meals. Do not plunge yourself headlong into this, leaving no room to get accustomed to it. Take time to adjust, until you are comfortable with fewer portions at every meal. This strategy also helps the body absorb nutrients more efficiently as it has fewer amounts to work on each time. Keep in mind to consume the most food at breakfast, and the least at dinner, as you have a whole day ahead of you to burn those calories you acquired in the morning.

Never allow yourself to get hungry as this slows metabolism considerably. When that happens, your body is not able to burn as much fat as you would like. Instead, it will only get ‘greedy’ and will want to hold on to whatever you feed it when you do decide to eat, thus, making it more difficult to shed the extra fat.

Do not load up on carbohydrates, as this will keep your body too preoccupied to concentrate on the fat. Eat protein-rich foods like fish, poultry, eggs, beans, milk, and tofu, because protein takes longer to digest and requires the most energy in doing so. Thus, the act of digesting is, in itself, a calorie buster. Fiber foods such as wheat bread will make you fuller faster and, like water, is also very effective in flushing out toxins from the body.

Following a proper exercise and fat loss program really aren’t that complicated after all. And don’t worry about the smallest of actions not making the slightest bit of difference. They do. The numbers may be negligible, but they all add up eventually—and quite sizably, too.

Weight Loss Surgery - Do You Qualify?

It is never too late to start something. If you are one of those who have excess body weight, start thinking and implementing things right now to shed off all those extra kilos. Any one can be suffering from the problem of having excess weight and this is something they need to deal with at just the right time to avoid any future complications. So if you have been depressed thinking about ways and means to get rid of that extra body weight which you have accumulated, its time for action now.

Opt for weight loss surgery, this has proved to be successful for many people who wanted to shed all those extra weight. Statistics have indicated that the success rate of weight loss surgery is very high, so you can go right ahead and make sure of this surgical process to lose weight.

Of course you will have to consult your doctor before you actually undergo the process. Weight loss surgery is nothing but a surgical procedure that can successfully reduce body weight. The idea behind the weight loss surgery is to make the body reduce its food intake. This does not mean that there will be any hindrance with the normal consumption and absorption of food by the body. It is just that the amount of food intake will be reduced drastically. Weight loss surgery is generally resorted to by doctors if all the other methods of weight reduction adopted by a person have completely failed.

Now there are certain things that you must know before you actually go about undergoing the surgery. The first thing is to find out what criteria is required for a person to be eligible to undergo the weight loss surgery. Some of the criteria are mentioned below:

* First you must be above the age of eighteen and below fifty five years of age to undergo the surgery.

* If you are suffering from morbid obesity, you are a candidate for weight loss surgery. Your body weight must be over 100 pounds from your ideal body weight.

* Your BMI or Body Mass index must be forty or higher to be eligible for the surgery. Your BMI is an important determinant for weight loss surgery.

* The length of time for which you have been obese is also very important. You are eligible for weight loss surgery only if you have been obese for a minimum time of five years.

* If you are suffering from medical problems like diabetes, swelling and pain in the body as a result of being overweight, then you are eligible for undergoing the surgery.

* Having mental stability is very important for a person who wishes to undergo weight loss surgery. A person who is undergoing treatment for any type of psychiatric condition is not eligible for weight loss surgery.

These are some of the conditions that qualify you for weight loss surgery. If you meet all or most of the above mentioned qualifications you are a good candidate for weight loss surgery. Seek an appointment with the doctor and clarify any doubt that you may have about the whole procedure. Find out a reputed weight loss surgeon for the surgery.

Nicholas Bowen is vastly experienced in weight loss procedures. He advises obese people about the best methods of reducing weight depending on their health and body condition. African Gordonii Hoodia Cactus Plant Extract Facts

African Hoodia Gordonii products have been very much publicized recently on media sources such as The Today Show, CBS, the BBC and more. You have probably already heard of Hoodia cactus plant extract, a diet supplement which is rapidly increasing in popularity, thanks to its health benefits and appetite suppression properties.

Before going out and buying a Hoodia product, you need to be aware that there are a lot of different types of Hoodia plant. Only the Hoodia Gordonii variety possesses the amazing appetite suppression quality. The Sans Bushmen, a primitive tribe, discovered the Hoodia property hundreds of years ago.

In the mid-1990s, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducted a study of the Sans Bushmen’s dietary habits, including the native plants they would have eaten. The study was about finding out which foods the Bushmen ate to protect the toxic compounds. The CSIR found that Hoodia Gordonii was non-toxic and also that it helped to suppress the appetite in the animals they fed it to.

The CSIR managed to isolate the active ingredient with appetite suppressing effects. They called the Hoodia cactus extract P57. A British company called Phytopharm bought the rights to P57. Because of patent laws, Phytopharm are allowed to extract the P57 molecule from the plant and use it to create their products.

It is not possible to patent the whole Hoodia Gordonii plant so other companies are allowed to make supplements from the Hoodia Gordonii and legally are able to sell it. That is why there are so many different Hoodia products around these days to choose from, each varying in quality, price and strength.

If you are considering the purchase of Hoodia cactus extract, you need to make sure that the product you are looking at contains real South African Hoodia Gordonii, since this is the active ingredient that will ensure the appetite suppression.

Do Saunas Help With Weight Loss?

Saunas have been a popular tool for relaxation for a very long time. When saunas were first introduced, they were used primarily for relaxation of muscles and relieving the stress and tension that build up throughout life. As saunas became more and more popular and widespread, the people who used them regularly began to notice some very desirable side effects. Specifically, people began noticing weight loss as a result of using saunas.

Weight Loss – Myth or Fact

Many people are still incredulous about the reported weight loss through sauna use. However, the increased popularity of saunas all over the world cannot and does not lie. Studies have shown that frequent sauna use does indeed help in weight loss as the high temperature acts not only on the muscle tissue but also on the fatty tissues of the body.

Many people agree that saunas have indeed helped them with weight reduction. The question is how? It is not true that the heat of the sauna helps in melting fat. Saunas - natural or infrared - are unable to melt fat with the help of heat. What a sauna actually does is help the body get rid of its excess salt through sweating.

What does salt have to do with weight loss? Plenty – there are many medical reports which explain the connection of salt and gain of weight. This gain is not fat gain but water retention gain. When a person consumes excess salt, this is deposited under the skin and in order for it to stay non-toxic it will demand water. The more salt you collect under the skin, the more water your body will demand and retain.

The sauna helps you get rid of this extra salt and thereby gets you rid of the water weight that you have gained. If you want to maintain the weight loss you enjoy from visiting the sauna, you need to keep salt consumption to a minimum in your diet.

Hence, the sauna does indeed help you loose weight though not in the regular way of melting fat. The heat usually forces the body sweat out the excess salt and toxins and thereby reduced a great deal of your water weight. Combined with a healthy and salt free (or reduced salt) diet, you could enjoy the new found way of staying trim and healthy.

Those who have studied the effectiveness of saunas for weight loss have observed that side by side with the relaxation benefits of saunas, they do help with detoxification of the body and with weight loss, when used frequently. What could be a better combination? One takes a sauna for relaxation and relief from stress and ends up with weight loss and body detoxification.

Improve your health and experience the benefits of an Infrared sauna. Saunafin offers a great selection of saunas that will fit your space and home decor.

Why are you Overwieght?

Finally, the ridiculous "low carb" diets have become popular in recent years, but of course those are just thinly disguised starvation diets. If you don't think so then check out these facts below about Atkins....

The Atkins Diet limits you to ONLY 20 grams of "net carbs" per day during the first phase of the diet.......which means that you cannot even eat a single large apple during the first phase of the Atkins Diet (since even a large apple has more than 20 grams of net carbs).

...And if you want to continue through all of the phases of the Atkins Diet, then it will take another 4 MONTHS (16 weeks) before you'll be allowed to eat just 400 carb calories per day -- and any typical restaurant meal has more carbs than that. So this is really just another form of starving and torturing yourself, which is not the answer.

Now you know what doesn't work. You need to visit this next page to see what really does work.

Appetite versus Diet -A Tough Battle

Our bodies are complicated machines, not unlike an automobile. The way that we treat it, is the way it will perform. Feed it high grade nutrition and it runs well. Feed it low grade and it will sputter and stall, and you will have trouble starting it again.

Most of the operation of the body is done automatically. You don not have to think about it. Just put it in drive and let it run. While in drive, the autonomic nervous system is in control of most of the operation. The nervous system, the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, and the endocrine or hormonal system all run smoothly, until the driver (you) disturbs it with emotion or activity. and, even then it adjusts to the circumstances.

Two bodily functions operate outside the normal, automatic, operation. Sex drive and appetite consume much of our daily time. Though, they may affect the nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, and endocrine systems, they are for us to control. Sex and appetite are driving forces in our bodies. They produce cravings, and sometimes overpowering desires. Appetite and sex drive are present in us for two important reasons. They are necessary for survival of the individual and survival of the species.

Either one of these can spiral out of control. You are the driver of this human automobile. You must control thee urges. The body does not automatically turn of these cravings or desires. This is the first thing you must realize about a diet. You must control the cravings, the same ones that were needed by our ancestors and still needed by poorer nations in the world today, to keep the species growing.

Appetite is a strong urge to overcome. We exist today, because our ancestors got fat during the good times , so they could survive harsh winters or droughts. Today, in our modern American culture, food is plentiful. Food can be bought with little money, although the less expensive food is generally,of a poorer quality. Again, you are the driver. You decide when to stop or go. You decide where or when to turn.

There is no magic pill to make your body lose weight. If you are not committed to a diet plan, you will not succeed. There have been diet aids, in pill form, to help you over the years. In the 1960's and 1970's amphetamines were given out rather freely by the medical community. These worked well for many people. But amphetamines had the risk of being habit forming or even addicting in some cases.Strict control by the DEA ( Drug Enforcement Agency ) changed the ease of distribution of amphetamines. Then a new generation of diet pills were marketed by pharmaceutical companies. They were less effective and less addicting.

Around the same time, the herbal industry was experimenting with herbs and combinations of herbs for appetite suppression. The main ingredient in the formulas was ephedrine, in one form or another. Again, government regulations put a stop to the use of this ingredient a few year ago. There has been many new herbal blends, developed over the last couple of years, to help suppress appetite. Perhaps, the most effective ingredient to have come out of these discoveries is Hoodia gordonii . It comes from a a cactus in southern Africa. Studies show that it actually curbs appetite and has not shown any serious side effects to date.

What you need to do first, is get your head right. Decide what you want to do and when you want to do it, as far as diet goes. Develop a healthy eating plan. It should be a well balanced diet. It should contain foods that you enjoy eating, and foods you continue to eat for a long period of time. There are healthy, tasty, healthy meals that you can have delivered to your door, at a reasonable cost. You may want to add a herbal ,like hoodia gordonii to aid you in your diet. Most importantly work out your diet plan before starting. Decide when you are going to do it, then do it.Adding an exercise regimen to your diet program would be a good idea.

Fast Weight Loss Programs

Many people got depressed with their weight, that’s why they are keep looking for something miracles. Some of them finally ran away to a program called “Slim Fast Weight Loss or Diet”. The basic of slim fast weight loss is you will only permitted to eat everything in dinner, (but still, don’t eat too much, keep in your own standard) but in breakfast and lunch, you must only eat their shakes and bars plus fruits (you will need to buy those slim fast diet bars and shakes). For some people, it’s silly but for another kind of people, it is working. So let’s discuss about this slim fast weight loss or diet.

This can be very hard for you who never tried this diet plan, and for me, you need to balance your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will realize it is hard not eat any tasty foods in breakfast and lunch. You should eat healthy foods with much nutrition in it, and I think it is OK to eat tasty foods as well, just don’t eat them too much.

Back to slim fast diet, usually they will suggest you to drink seven or eight glasses of water daily. Water can help your metabolism faster. Beside eight glasses of water, they also will ask you to take exercises. The problems are slim fast diet shakes and bars are expensive for many people and you will realize in the end, you are on your own. If you are a man who had good self-reliance, you maybe think this slim fast diet is good for you. But unfortunately, most people can’t live on their own, they will always need support from others and this kind of people will fail in slim fast diet.

Face the truth. In the 21st century, most people are obsessed with their objective. If you want to have a good income, you will try harder than ever in your works. If you want to get a good image in front of people, you will buy a new and expensive car. Same to weight loss problems. If you want to lose weight, you will always search for something fast, and usually you will search for weight loss pills to help you.

Experiences prove that most weight loss pills which claimed they can help you to lose weight fast are scams. When you got scammed by those fake weight loss pills, then you will search for any fast weight loss exercises. Unfortunately, most exercise programs promised you kind of fast weight loss program too. And this kind of program will never help you.

So what can help you to lose weight? Weight loss pills which did not promised you anything fast, maybe can help you. But the most important things to do are control yourself when you are eating foods and take some exercises. You will need to be patient. Patience is the key to lose weight. You can lose weight faster only if you have dedication and patience.

If you only take exercises in one month and the result you only lose 2-3 pounds, don’t give up. Take more exercises and you’ll achieve your goal. If you even lose 15-20 pounds in one month, then don’t get too excited. Most people celebrate their “successful weight loss program” with eating too much tasty foods.

You need to keep discipline in your life and don’t ever celebrate something with eating too much foods. So we get 4 lesson for today:
1. Don’t believe in any fast weight loss programs/pills
2. You always need discipline, dedication, and patience. If in one month you realize you didn’t achieve your goal in your weight loss program, then don’t give up.

4. Don’t forget to take exercises routinely.
